SUPERNATURAL is an eco-artistic project that explores the subtle and therapeutic connection between nature and human beings through plant music. By translating the micro-electrical variations of plants into melodies, we discover the vibrant intelligence of the living world — and are invited to listen in a whole new way.

SUPERNATURAL aims to foster reconnection with nature, with ourselves, and with others by cultivating a form of emotional ecology. Through art, music, and imagination, it opens a space for wonder and gentle transformation — a way to learn how to care for ourselves, one another, and the Earth.

The project unfolds in two complementary branches:

SUPERNATURAL EXPERIENCE

A series of immersive experiences blending vibrational concerts, sound siestas, creative workshops, and participatory performances. These artistic offerings invite us to slow down, feel deeply, and open ourselves to a poetic, sensory form of listening to the living world.

SUPERNATURAL EDUCATION

Sensory and narrative workshops designed for children, families, and intergenerational groups. These educational moments aim to awaken curiosity, nourish the imagination, and encourage a relationship of empathy with nature.

What is plant music?

Plant music is created with a technological system that uses a device fitted with sensors to measure the bio-electricity of plants and transform it into musical notes. With this tool we can observe that each plant has its own melody and reacts differently to its environment.

Ecology of emotions

This project is part of an artistic reflection on the “ecology of emotions”. This evokes the well-being we can find when we become aware of our own emotional states and make the connection with our environment, the nature around us and the nature within us. This exchange enables us to engage in a constant dialogue, finding comfort and inspiration to live in harmony with our loved ones, our fellow citizens and all the living beings that inhabit our planet.

In short, just as we take the time to recycle our waste, we can also take the time to manage our emotional states, which will have a more beneficial impact on our environment and our relationships with others.

Music & Art Experience

A sensory and poetic immersion into the heart of the living world

SUPERNATURAL EXPERIENCE is an invitation to slow down, feel, and reconnect with the living world through a series of immersive artistic experiences blending sound, art, and sensitive ecology.
Vibrational concerts, sound siestas, creative workshops, and participatory rituals form a multidimensional journey where listening becomes an act of presence, and emotion a shared language with nature.

These experiences — intimate, collective, and inclusive — are designed as gentle spaces of transformation, awakening the senses, re-enchanting everyday life, and fostering reconnection with oneself, others, and the Earth.

Concerts & Sound Baths

"Discovering the Secret World of Plants"

The concerts and sound siestas of SUPERNATURAL are immersive listening experiences where music becomes a bridge between humans and plants.
Using a biofeedback device, the subtle electrical variations of plants are translated into melodies — living, organic music that is often surprising, always soothing.

Each performance is an invitation to slow down, to feel differently, to listen to what cannot be seen.
The sound siestas offer a moment of deep relaxation, lying down or comfortably seated, cradled by the vibrations of the plant world. The concerts, in turn, are enriched with enchanting vocals, spontaneous singing, and acoustic instruments (lyre, guitar, ocean drum…), sometimes in collaboration with guest artists.

At the crossroads of performance, healing, and sensitive ecology, these experiences open a space of calm, emotion, and resonance with the living world.

“The Secret World of Plants” - Concert & Workshop

Concert

An immersive sound journey into the intelligence of nature

Duration: 2 hours | Includes presentation & participatory discussion

The Secret World of Plants is a unique musical performance that invites you to listen to the hidden voices of the plant kingdom. Using a biofeedback device that translates the subtle electrical activity of plants into music, the concert reveals the living vibrancy of nature through a soundscape both meditative and otherworldly.

The performance opens with a short introduction on the intelligence of nature and the principles behind plant-generated music. It concludes with a participatory discussion around the concept of the ecology of emotions — an invitation to reflect collectively on our relationship with the living world, and how we feel, sense, and connect to it.

More than a concert, this is a contemplative experience — a space for deep listening, emotional resonance, and re-enchantment with the natural world.

Sound bath format also available.

Workshop

An invitation to discover plants through their melodies.

Duration: 2 hours

Offered as a complement to the concert The Secret World of Plants, this workshop is a sensory and poetic immersion into the world of vegetation. It is a moment of collective re-enchantment — a space to reconnect with nature and reflect on our relationship with the living world, ourselves, and others.

Participants are invited to wander through the garden and meet the plants. Using a special device that translates their subtle electrical activity into sound, each plant reveals its own unique melody — a surprising and moving experience of interspecies listening.

The workshop blends storytelling about the history of botany, awareness of plant intelligence, and a gentle introduction to the ecology of emotions — a central theme of the SUPERNATURAL project.

Each participant will be invited to choose an "ally plant" and connect with it through the five senses before harvesting it with care and intention.

In the second part of the workshop, participants will create a botanical monotype print, turning their plant into a unique postcard artwork — a tangible memory of their personal encounter with the plant world.

A gentle, creative journey where listening, contemplation, and art become ways to rediscover and reconnect with the living.

“Wild Reveries” – Sound Siestas

A moment of relaxation and wonder at the heart of the living world

Duration: 1h30 | Open to all, children aged 6 and up

“What if plants could sing?”

Wild Reveries is an immersive sonic journey inviting participants to slow down and enter a state of gentle listening. Using plant-generated music, the experience offers a rare opportunity to hear nature's hidden melodies — subtle, surprising, and deeply calming.

Participants are invited to lie down, relax, close their eyes, and be carried by the soothing vibrations of the living world. The music, created in real-time through biofeedback sensors on plants, forms a delicate, ever-changing soundscape.

This moment of stillness and sensitivity opens a space for poetry, introspection, and connection — with oneself, others, and the more-than-human world.

The soundscape is enriched with ethereal vocals and spontaneous singing, accompanied by soothing instruments such as the lyre, ocean drum, or guitar. At times, other guest musicians join to deepen the collective resonance.

Accessible to all audiences, including individuals with limited mobility.

Immersive & Participatory Experiences

“Find the magic within”

Through a blend of musical performances, interactive installations, and ritual-inspired journeys, SUPERNATURAL invites you to explore the sacred connection between the self and the living world. Drawing on the symbolic language of tarot, ancient Greek mythology, and plant intelligence, these participatory experiences open a space for inner reflection, emotional resonance, and sensory exploration.

Each experience is a passage — a portal into a deeper relationship with nature, others, and oneself.

SUPERNATURAL EDUCATION

Workshops & storytelling to awaken curiosity, sensitivity, and connection to nature

The educational branch of SUPERNATURAL offers creative, sensory-based workshops and participatory storytelling experiences for children, families, and intergenerational groups. These sessions are designed to spark wonder, encourage ecological awareness, and foster emotional connection with the living world through art, play, and listening.

Workshops

• The secret world of plants (Family workshop)
  A poetic exploration of the secret life of plants through sound, touch, and storytelling. Families are invited to listen to plant-generated music and explore the garden together.

• The singing plants (For children & young audiences)
  A playful and interactive workshop where kids discover how plants make music, learn about plant intelligence, and experiment with sound and nature.

• Nature and Me (All audiences, ages 8 and up)
  A creative and reflective workshop combining plant music, sensory exploration, and discussion to help participants connect emotionally with the natural world around them.

Children’s Storytelling

• My Plant Friend Wendy, a story by Zigola Pioppo
  A gentle, immersive tale about a young girl and her friendship with a magical plant. This story introduces young audiences to the invisible life of plants and the power of listening to nature — blending storytelling, music, and wonder.

About me

Alex Helene Alexopoulos

I'm a sound artist, under the name Wild Anima, creator of ambient electro acoustic music and sound therapist. I create music with plants, with poetic and spiritual songs. Of Greek origin, I draw my inspiration from ancient myths and the psyche in general.

My approach

As a singer-songwriter, I seek to weave links between human emotions and sound vibrations. For me, plant music is a tool for learning about and better understanding the living world around us and the general super-consciousness of our planet. Through my works, I wish to invite everyone to an intimate dialogue with their emotions, perceptions and imaginations.
