SUPERNATURAL
“Taking care of ourselves, others and the Earth through the music of plants.”
The project
SUPERNATURAL is an eco-artistic project that explores the subtle and therapeutic connection between nature and human beings through plant music. By translating the micro-electrical variations of plants into melodies, we discover the vibrant intelligence of the living world — and are invited to listen in a whole new way.
SUPERNATURAL aims to foster reconnection with nature, with ourselves, and with others by cultivating a form of emotional ecology. Through art, music, and imagination, it opens a space for wonder and gentle transformation — a way to learn how to care for ourselves, one another, and the Earth.
What is plant music?
Plant music is created with a technological system that uses a device fitted with sensors to measure the bio-electricity of plants and transform it into musical notes. With this tool we can observe that each plant has its own melody and reacts differently to its environment.

PLANT MUSIC & NATURE WORKSHOPS
“Raising awareness of plant intelligence“
SUPERNATURAL experiences are an invitation to slow down, feel, and reconnect with the living world through a series of immersive artistic experiences blending sound, art, and sensitive ecology. Plant music sound journeys, creative workshops, and participatory rituals form a multidimensional journey where listening becomes an act of presence, and emotion a shared language with nature.
These experiences - intimate, collective and inclusive - are conceived as spaces of gentle transformation, encouraging the awakening of the senses, the re-enchantment of daily life and reconnection with oneself, with others and with the Earth.
Plant Music Sound Journeys
A sensory and poetic immersion into the heart of the living world
Plant music sound journeys are immersive listening experiences where music becomes a bridge between humans and plants. At the crossroads of performance, care and sensitive ecology, these moments open up a space of calm, emotion and resonance with the living world.
Nature Workshops
Workshops & storytelling to awaken curiosity, sensitivity, and connection to nature
The nature workshops offer creative, sensory-based experiences for children, families, and intergenerational groups. These sessions are designed to spark wonder, encourage ecological awareness, and foster emotional connection with the living world through art, play, and listening.
About the facilitators
Wild Anima & Zigola Pioppo
The SUPERNATURAL children's workshops have been lovingly co-created in collaboration with Zigola Pioppo (storyteller, musician, and educator). Together, we bring a gentle, imaginative approach to nature education through sound, storytelling, and creative exploration.
About me
Alex Helene Alexopoulos
I'm a sound artist also known as Wild Anima, ambient musician and sound healer. I create music with plants, with poetic and spiritual songs. Of Greek origin, I draw my inspiration from ancient myths and the psyche in general.
My approach
As a singer-songwriter, I seek to weave links between human emotions and sound vibrations. For me, plant music is a tool for learning about and better understanding the living world around us and the general super-consciousness of our planet. Through my works, I wish to invite everyone to an intimate dialogue with their emotions, perceptions and imaginations.
Ecology of emotions
This project is part of an artistic reflection on the “ecology of emotions”. This evokes the well-being we can find when we become aware of our own emotional states and make the connection with our environment, the nature around us and the nature within us. This exchange enables us to engage in a constant dialogue, finding comfort and inspiration to live in harmony with our loved ones, our fellow citizens and all the living beings that inhabit our planet.
In short, just as we take the time to recycle our waste, we can also take the time to manage our emotional states, which will have a more beneficial impact on our environment and our relationships with others.
The “heart sense”
According to herbalist, poet and philosopher Stephen Harrod Buhner, the organ of our heart is not only dedicated to pumping blood through our body, it also has a more subtle function. It manages our electromagnetic field in relation to our environment and that of the Earth. The heart acts as an oscillator, transmitting and receiving information from our surroundings through our emotions.
Scientific experiments have shown that “the electromagnetic field of the heart is 5000 times more powerful than that created by the brain”. The heart is a nervous system in its own right, acting as a kind of sixth sense: the heart sense, or “Aesthesis”, the sense of feeling, also linked to intuition.

Heart coherence
When our brain's nervous system becomes coherent with that of our heart, we can find greater clarity and calm, and our emotional intelligence enables us to make better decisions for ourselves and our environment.
The HeartMath Institute in the USA has been conducting research for over 30 years into the beneficial effects of practicing heart coherence and the positive impact it has on our planet and the ecosystem in general.
Therapeutic music
Here's a meditative music album I created for the HeartMath research institute for the Inner Balance coherence plus application. This is ideal for meditation, yoga and other wellness practices:
