Nature Workshops & Ecology of Emotions
Discovering the secret world of plants
SUPERNATURAL's workshops invite children, families, and intergenerational groups to rediscover the plant world through sensory exploration, creativity, and storytelling. Blending art, ecology, and imagination, each workshop encourages participants to cultivate curiosity, deepen their connection with nature, and explore their relationship with the living world.
Participants are invited to discover the hidden world of plants by engaging all five senses—and by awakening a symbolic sixth sense: the sense of the heart, fostering empathy, intuition, and attentiveness to the living world. Through playful and immersive activities, they learn to observe, identify, and appreciate the plants that surround them while exploring the fundamentals of botany, local plant traditions, and myths and legends from cultures around the world.
Inspired by the principles of emotional ecology, the workshops also offer gentle tools for exploring our inner landscapes—our feelings, emotions, and inner resources. By learning to recognize, welcome, and navigate emotions with greater awareness, participants develop skills that support emotional well-being and resilience in everyday life. Nature becomes both a mirror and a teacher, inviting us to reflect on the interconnectedness of all living systems, including our own.
The workshops introduce participants to the idea of interspecies relationships and encourage new ways of connecting with the plant world through attentive listening, observation, imagination, and creative expression. Rather than seeking answers, they cultivate presence, curiosity, and a sense of wonder.
Creative activities include botanical lino printing, botanical printing, handmade postcards using plant materials, nature journaling, and a variety of eco-art and art therapy-inspired practices that encourage personal expression while celebrating the beauty and intelligence of the living world.
Participants leave with practical creative tools, a renewed sense of connection, and a deeper understanding of themselves, of others, and of the natural world—discovering that caring for our inner ecology and caring for the Earth are deeply interconnected practices.
